At C4, we like building relationships with our customers but wish we could meet them in person more often. For Todd, that all changed during his recent, once-in-a-lifetime road trip over late October through early November. Appropriately entitled “The Big Trip 2021,” Todd, his wife Karen, and a rotating crew traveled from Western Washington outside of Seattle cross country as far east as Pennsylvania. Their goal was to pick up their new RV which also got a name: “The Big Whip.”
They are back home now and Todd reminisces fondly about all of the people he got to meet in person along the way. While in Indiana, he was able to meet with one of our strategic partners: Orchard Software. Also while there, after two years of the crazy pandemic, Emily and Todd were able to have a corporate meeting and share a little Tex-Mex takeout.
Later on while Todd was in Pennsylvania, he got to meet with a C4 client in the northeastern part of the state. During his visit, they got to catch up on the latest activities of the lab, as well as take a tour of it enabling Todd to see a place he had only previously imagined.
On the partner front, General Motors and BraunAbility are both important manufacturers in Todd’s life. They enable him to get around and accomplish the kind of things required to run a business like C4. By meeting in person with representatives from both companies, Todd was able to discuss plans for the future that could help them meet mutual goals.
Simply put, there is nothing like being able to get personal. Spending time at the same place…even if it’s socially distanced and everyone’s wearing masks…is a special thing. Once the Covid-19 fog finally lifts, one thing’s for certain: additional visits to more customers and partners will be a top priority at C4. So, you never know when the Commander and T will be rolling into your city in The Big Whip.
